About Us
The Boys & Girls Club of Laredo Sports League has been in existence since the 1950s. Our leagues, so far, have produced such athletes as the 1956 Martin High School State Champion Basketball Team, Boxing World Champions Gaby & Orlando Canizales, and Major League Baseball player Freddie Benavides. Our Boys & Girls Club of Laredo athletes have gone on to succeed in life. NBA coach Kaleb Canales, UISD Superintendent Bobby Santos, District Attorney Isidro Alaniz, Dr. Reynaldo Godines, State District Judge Honorable Beckie Palomo, and many other Boys & Girls Club of Laredo Alumni prove that:
